College-Level Examination Program Awards

Effective for exams taken on or after 9/1/06

The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) enables students of any age to take exams on a variety college-level topics. The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities offers college credit for certain CLEP exams. The guide below tells you which CLEP tests are accepted by the U of M, for credit toward or exemption from some degree program requirements (see below). Tests not listed below are not currently accepted for credit or exemption.

Students wishing to test for French, German, or Spanish credit should contact the University's Language Center for more information (612-624-0862).

To arrange for CLEP testing on the U of M Twin Cities campus, please contact the Testing Center (612-624-9853). To have official score reports sent for CLEP tests previously taken, contact the College Board.

Principles of Macroeconomics60Econ 1102, 4 credits. Meets Social Science requirement (not International requirement)
